Paris St Germain will begin the defence of their Ligue 1 title against the 2011/12 champions Montpellier at Stade de la Mosson.
PSG, who captured their third championship after finishing 12 points clear of rivals Marseille, will face Montpellier in the competition opener on Friday, August 9.
Newly-promoted Monaco, who have been boosted by the big-money signings of Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez so far this summer, begin their campaign at Bordeaux.
Monaco, owned by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, have targeted a Champions League qualifying spot for their return to the top flight and will face their first big test at last season’s runners-up Olympique Marseille, in the fourth round of matches.
Claudio Ranieri’s side will face the champions at the Parc des Princes on the sixth matchday - Sunday September 22 – while the first Le Classique between Marseille and PSG will take place on Sunday, October 6.
Marseille will play their opening game at promoted side Guingamp while Olympique Lyon, who finished third, will host Nice.
