The Labour Party’s representative on the Electoral Commission, Tony Sultana, yesterday stepped down from the role to become executive chairman of Government IT agency MITA.

His promotion came after several years of work within the agency and its predecessor MITTS, and at the tail-end of his 10-year electoral commission term. Mr Sultana will be joined on the MITA board by Joseph Agius, Saviour Baldacchino, Tony Borg and Helen Borg Muscat.
