PKF Malta partner Pierre Mangion will address the ninth International Conference and Forum on Gaming Industry and Public Welfare in China tomorrow.

His presentation will cover the challenges and opportunities facing the gaming and lottery industry and will give an overview of the latest legislative and regulatory developments in the online gaming and gambling sector.

Mr Mangion will give a country-by-country synopsis of the developments relating to new and proposed reforms in the foremost gaming industries of Europe.

The forum is being organised by the China Centre for Lottery Studies of Peking University and Macao Polytechnic Institute, and researched by the Research Institute for Fiscal Science, the Ministry of Finance, People’s Republic of China and World Lottery Study Association.

The theme of this year’s conference is Social Responsibility Of Lottery And Gaming Industry.

Representatives from the Chinese Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Civil Affairs and General Administration of Sport have confirmed their participation.

There will be top executive representatives from the World Lottery Study Association, the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taylor’s University, the Centre of Moral Education, Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Intralot (Beijing) Computer Technology and Services Limited, and MGM Macau.

Committed to foster a healthy development of the gaming industry in China, including that in Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, this annual conference provides a platform for communication, exchange and debate on issues facing policymakers, operators, as well as scholars in the industry.
