Speaking on the Private Member’s Bill she presented to protect all citizens from discrimination, Claudette Buttigieg referred to it as a result of teamwork evident in the modus operandi of the Opposition over the last months.
TeamPN’s positive participation is projecting the Nationalist Party as a proactive Opposition. Among other instances, this was evident in the launching of the seminar on tourism in Malta and Gozo with emphasis being laid on job creation, the national conference on local councils, the promotion of a policy of consensus in the health sector through the setting up of a committee on health and putting transparency into action, namely Simon Busuttil’s declaration of divulging names of applicants for Maltese passports. All this is taking place within the EU context, highlighting the PN consistency over the years as opposed to Labour voting against this reality when today – thanks to those who voted for Europe – they are equally proudly benefiting from this EU membership
This is an Opposition worth supporting given that – as Henry Frendo recently commented in an interview – it is an Opposition that is not simply there to oppose but also to propose.
The PN has always been a catalyst for change and striven for a better quality of life for the people.
