Malta has agreed to contribute €15,000 towards a special trust fund aimed at supporting efforts to destroy Syrian chemical weapons.
Ambassador Martin Valentino, Malta’s permanent representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemicals Weapons, and Ambassador Ahmet Üzümcü, Director-General of the OPCW, yesterday signed the agreement in The Hague.
The OPCW Special Trust Fund was established last month in accordance with the decision of the executive council.
