I refer to the item that was titled ‘Labour MPs ‘pigging out’ on jobs, warns PN’ (May 13).

Towards the end, Nationalist Party spokesman Jason Azzopardi is quoted as having mentioned “MEP candidate Alfred Sant’s nephew, Marc Sant, who was appointed to the competition and consumer appeals tribunal”.

I would like to clarify that the only board on which I sit is the board of management of the Conservatorio Vincenzo Bugeja Homes, for which I do not receive any remuneration.

While thanking the PN spokesman for once again providing free publicity to Alfred Sant, I would hardly consider this position to qualify as ‘pigging out’.
