The second night of the Triq Cinemoon Festival will focus on the theme of ‘night-time’.

This unusual festival, in its fifth year, asks its prospective audience to pick the films that are screened with the general theme this summer being ‘In Time’.

Midnight SpecialMidnight Special

The films proposed for tomorrow are: Attack the Block (2011), a British film written and directed by Joe Cornish; Barcelona Christmas Night (2015), a love story directed by Spanish film-maker Dani de la Orden; and US drama mystery Midnight Special (2016), written and directed by Jeff Nichols.

The film obtaining the most votes will be shown in the evocative surroundings of Valletta’s magical night-time streets.

The venue is just outside the bar Cafe Society in St John’s Street, a cozy street leading down to the Grand Harbour. The screen is set up on the stepped section with the audience viewing the film seated on the stairs under the moonlight.

Tomorrow’s screening in St John’s Street, Valletta, starts at 8.30pm and entrance is free.
