They’re young and relatively still newcomers to the local scene, but that hasn’t stopped Negative Spaces from chasing their dreams and turning them, slowly but surely, into reality.

Further to the BK2SQR1 and Standing singles released last year, the band has also released two accompanying videos that visualise the anti-bullying themes addressed in the songs.

“Having experienced bullying ourselves we feel very strongly about this issue, which is why our first two releases sought to emphatically convey a message of empowerment to others who may be victims of bullying,” the band said when questioned about their initial releases.

In the here and now, Negative Spaces are back with a brand new song, State of Mind, that is totally detached from the bullying issue. “We still feel as strongly about the issue, but for our third release, we decided to step away from that subject and give ourselves a different space to create in.”

The result is a song that is as powerful, if not more so than their previous output, and as has become the tradition, the song comes accompanied by a music video that the band launched just days ago.

What, then, is the plan from here on?

“We’re writing more material as we go along with the intention of putting out an EP.”

When that will be and which songs will be on it is still to be decided, but for the time being, fans can listen to all three singles and watch all the videos on the band’s You Tube channel.
