They performed in Malta a couple of years back and since then, things seem to have just kept getting better for UK duo Evokateur.

The Crows Wedding EP will be launched tomorrow

Holding fast to their signature electronic sound, inspired as much by 1980s synthpop as it is by their own imagination and inventiveness, Evokateur have been attracting rave reviews by critics and peers alike.

It’s hardly surprising really, given the way Sarah’s perceptive vocal abilities coalesce so naturally with Hector’s rhythmic soundscapes to create lush electro-pop melodies, or as Time Out magazine’s reviewer described it, “sinister mecha-pop”.

In the time they have been operating as Evokateur, Sarah and Hector have consistently continued to hone their sound.

While keeping their trademark characteristics, they’ve instilled a distinct freshness that gives their music an appeal that could reach beyond their underground following.

Along with having songs featured on important UK and foreign compilation releases, Evokateur’s single Wolf Girl was also remixed by none other than electronica legends Gary Numan and Ade Fenton.

This is an endorsement of the duo’s potential, further proof of which can be found on their latest release, The Crows Wedding EP, which will be launched tomorrow. The track-listing for the EP is Same As You, Wildflowers, Misery and Undone.

All four songs, along with remixes of Wolf Girl, a cover of Tears for Fears’ Mad World and other remixes of other artists’ work may be streamed on www.evokateur.co.uk.
