Max Insurance Brokers Ltd, an insurance broker licensed by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), has teamed up with insurance veteran James Lawrence Mizzi to provide a range of insurance products to its customers. The company has also relocated its offices to 71, Robert Mifsud Bonnici Street, Lija.

Mr Mizzi has over 22 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He established himself in the sector in 1997 when he became an insurance tied intermediary with Citadel plc and subsequently opened Ideal Services Ltd. He has now been appointed managing director of Max Insurance Brokers Ltd.

The directors of the company are now Mr Mizzi and Kevin Buttigieg, who represents JK Properties Ltd. Max Insurance Brokers Ltd is one of 27 licensed brokers in Malta authorised by the MFSA to offer any type of insurance cover from the various accredited insurance companies in Malta. A broker’s role is to negotiate the most beneficial insurance in terms of price and cover.

Speaking about the transition from insurance tied intermediary to a fully-licensed insurance brokerage, Mr Mizzi said he had always wanted to grow his business and this was a step in the right direction.
