Language school Ace English Malta has opened at Bay Street in St Julian’s, following an investment of €1.5 million.

Situated on Level 4, with a dedicated entrance off a large terrace, Ace English aims to bring a freshness and enthusiasm to English language learning in Malta.

Occupying over 1,100 square metres on two floors, the footprint includes 26 classrooms with the latest interactive technology, a reception area, double height foyer, internet café, and chill out areas.

The management and staff include professionals who have more than 20 years’ experience in various aspects of language school operations.

“We place particular value on the connection between teacher and student, as well as technological learning systems so popular today,” proprietor and director Keith Zammit said at the inauguration last Friday.

“From the first day of class, only English is used in our animated interactive sessions which nonetheless require the student to work hard by being involved through direct participation in the lessons.”

The school boasts a comprehensive list of courses for adults and juniors, who are promised a fun learning experience with a packed programme of extra-curricular activities. Programmes include personalised courses, general business language training, effective communication for professionals, and afternoon conversation classes.

Education Minister Evarist Bartolo officially opened the school. He stressed the Government’s commitment to amend the visa regime by the end of the year to facilitate visits by non-EU students to come to Malta for educational reasons.

“We want to match the visa regime of our competitors at the very least,” he said.

Tourism Minister Karmenu Vella also attended.
