St Albert the Great College and Opening Doors, an association that provides a space for artists with a learning disability, have completed an inclusion project to raise more awareness about disability through theatre within informal education.

A group of 12 students from St Albert and three Opening Doors actors have devised a collective performance under the direction of Lou Ghirlando and the school’s drama teacher Sarah Camilleri.

The project was developed through the Kreattiv programme, a cultural initiative by the Parliamentary Secretariat for Culture and the Ministry for Education that supports collaboration between creative professionals and schools. The outcome of the project will be shared during a public presentation of the theatre piece entitled Uċuħ, described as a journey of emotions.

The presentation and post-show discussion will be held in St James Cavalier Music Room tomorrow at 7.30pm. Entrance is free.
