Maria Vella Galea has landed her dream job at Vodafone. She is brand manager for the company after having worked within the marketing department for two years. She previously worked with DHL’s European headquarters in Brussels for three years, but always looked at Vodafone as a young, vibrant company she wanted to be part of.

“The role of brand manager means I have to keep abreast with all the vigorous changes within the telecommunications industry. Better still, Vodafone is a hub for innovation,” she said.

Vodafone’s aim is to enable people’s lives through its services, technology, people and devices. It organises activities to bring people together.

“Vodafone is all about emotions,” said Ms Vella Galea.

“Our brand encompasses passion and we make sure weconvey these feelings by offering people experiences money cannot buy.”

Over the past year Vodafone organised various activities and campaigns, such as the Android Village, Upcoming Artist 2011, Summer Freebee campaign and Christmas Wow Moments.

Last year, customers were also awarded tickets for the Joseph Calleja and Carlos Santana concerts.

Vodafone has also opened four new retail outlets.

Vodafone offers the right work-family balance for Ms Vella Galea to be able to raise a child together with her husband.
