Milan fought back from a goal down to beat Lazio 3-1 at the San Siro and set up a Coppa Italia semi-final showdown against Juventus.

French striker Djibril Cisse, who had failed to score for Lazio since the opening day of the Serie A, was back on the scoresheet when he put the Biancocelesti ahead after five minutes.

Cisse was given ample space from the Milan defence and he fully profited as he rifled the ball home with a fine volley from an Alvaro Gonzalez cross.

Milan fought back and they drew level on 15 minutes. Alexander Merkel flicked the ball into the path of Robinho who rammed the ball home.

Three minutes later, Milan took the lead when El Shaarawy’s backheel released Clarence Seedorf who kept his cool to drive a powerful finish past Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti.

Lazio should have been reduced to ten men on 64 minutes when Andres Diaz punched midfielder Mark van Bommel but none of the officials intervened much to the chargrin of the Dutch midfielder.

However, Milan sealed the win six minutes from time when substitute Zlatan Ibrahimovic broke free and cooly slotted the ball past the onrushing Marchetti.
