A man from Niger was injured when he was hit on the head with a wooden chair in a fight that broke out with a Ghanaian yesterday afternoon. The Nigerian, who resides in Floriana, went to a residence in Enrico Mizzi Street, Ta’ Xbiex, at about noon to collect some belongings, the police said.

For some reason, a fight broke out between the two.

The Ghanaian escaped from the scene but was apprehended by the police about four hours later.

The injured man was given first aid by paramedics who then took him to hospital in an ambulance.
