Malta International Airport has announced it will waive landing fees for all scheduled airlines for the third consecutive winter.

The measure will apply from November until March.

Airport CEO Markus Klaushofer said: “We are continuing our efforts to stimulate further traffic and address the issue of seasonality, which is so crucial to the Maltese tourism industry.”

The initiative forms part of the airport’s incentive programme to attract airlines to start or increase operations to Malta.

This includes waiving of the night surcharge and free aircraft parking for scheduled passenger flights, both valid all year round.
