Mġarr Road in Gozo will be closed to traffic from today until the end of October because of “potential problems with the gradient of the main sewer”, according to the transport authority.

Transport Malta said the issue was raised during “testing along a 130-metre stretch” of the road by the Water Services Corporation and contractor before laying the binder and wearing courses. The closure will start on Monday.

During the works, traffic from Victoria to Mġarr will be diverted to St Anard Street, Ta’ Ħamet Street, Madonna tar-Rummiena Street and Mġarr Road.
