The largest number of complaints received by the customer care section of Mater Dei Hospital was related to long waiting times at the outpatients’ department.

In October and November, the section received a total of 1,194 complaints and requests about a plethora of topics, of which 160 were on these waiting times, Health Minister Godfrey Farrugia said in answer to a PQ by Claudio Grech (PN).
