A man serving 25 years for the murder of hairstylist Alfie Rizzo yesterday pleaded guilty to possession of heroin and cocaine for dealing purposes.

Libyan Aimen El Baden, 31, pleaded guilty to possession of a few grams of the drugs on the prison premises.

He also pleaded guilty to relapsing. Judgment will be handed in the coming days.

Mr Baden was jailed in 2002 after jurors unanimously found him guilty of murdering Mr Rizzo at his Gżira salon in 1998. Another Libyan, Ibrahim Ramadan Chamber Shnishah, was jailed for life after he was found guilty of complicity in the hair-stylist’s murder.
