Valentina Hotel in St Julians has invested €5.5 million on an extension and upgrading project that will increase the number of employees from eight to 25.

On a visit to the hotel yesterday, Finance Minister Tonio Borg and Tourism Minister Mario de Marco welcomed the investment, for which the hotel is taking advantage of a government subsidy scheme on interest.

The scheme, managed by Malta Enterprise, is aimed at encouraging hotels and restaurants to carry out upgrading works to improve the tourism product.
