The Foundation for Medical Services is studying the possibility of increasing car parking facilities on a site near Mater Dei Hospital. This would be in addition to parking facilities that will be included in the Oncology Centre project.

Answering a parliamentary question by Labour MP Anthony Agius Decelis, Health Minister Joseph Cassar said more details would be announced as they became known.

Dr Cassar said the Oncology Centre would have a number of parking bays for visitors. He also pointed out the centre would be an extension of the main hospital, whose current parking facilities would still be available.
