In November 2009, Silvio Farrugia, who has lived in Australia for the past 33 years, was diagnosed with prostate cancer and given a short time to live. He immediately made plans to return to Malta to pass away in the fold of his family.
In one of Mr Farrugia’s sessions, a friend suggested he contact Hospice Malta. “Since that day I just cannot stop appreciating the work they do,” said Mr Farrugia.
“I immediately felt that these people really meant what they were doing and deserved to be helped in their mission.”
