Gozo FC striker Tracy Teuma has been named BOV player of the month for January in the women’s football league.

Teuma, also a member of the national team under the helm of Pierre Brincat, topped the charts as a result of her impressive displays in the two Division One matches against Pembroke Athleta and Ħamrun Spartans last month.

She scored all goals in her team’s 3-1 win over Pembroke and was also on target with a brace in the 4-0 victory over the Spartans.

Her incisive running and eye for goal will certainly be needed if the Gozitan team, currently fourth in the league standings, want to keep the pressure on the league’s pace-setting trio of Mosta, Birkirkara and Hibernians.

Jack Thewma, BOV Gozo Branch manager, presented the trophy to Teuma.
