League Two side Bradford City will leave no stone unturned to defy the odds yet again when thet meet Swansea City at the League Cup final at Wembley on Sunday.

The pundits are refraining from dubbing the showdown as a walkover for the Welsh side after Bradford knocked out Aston Villa in the semi-finals.

Yet, Swansea have a mission to accomplish as they bid to become the first club to take the cup out of England.

Bradford are managed by Philip John Parkinson. This is the fourth English club Parkinson has managed in his career.

He started at Colchester United in 2003 before a short stint with Hull City that lasted only one year. After two seasons on the sidelines, he returned to take over at Charlton on 2008 and in 2010 opted to manage the Bantams.

Parkinson’s counterpart on Sunday, Michael Laudrup, was an attacking midfielder who started his career with KB in 1981 before moving to Brondby.

Juve signed the Dane in 1983 for a six-year spell. In that period he was loaned to Lazio for two years.

In 1989, Laudrup moved to Barcelona where he spent six seasons before leaving in 1994 to join fierce rivals Real Madrid.

In 1996, he moved to Japanese club Vissel Kobe where he played for one season before his final year at Ajax.

Last June, Laudrup took over at Swansea after coaching spells at Mallorca, Spartak Moscow, Getafe and Brondby.

Bradford enjoyed a spell of two seasons in the Premier League 11 years ago.

But since then their fortunes have dipped, going into administration twice.

Yet, the fans have surely forgotten those bad times this season after Bradford beat the likes of Arsenal, Wigan and Aston Villa to reach the League Cup final.

Indeed, this is Bradford’s finest feat after they lifted the FA Cup in 1911.

Swansea have won the Welsh Cup on 11 occasions but have never claimed a piece of silverware in English competitions.

Laudrup is relishing the prospect of leading Swansea to their first major honour on Sunday.
