The tenants of 36 government-owned boathouses under Islet Promenade in Buġibba are very angry because for two summers they have been unable to launch their boats as the whole area is enclosed every summer by a barrier for swimmers, including the only slipway available.

This situation could be remedied for next summer by leaving an open passage the width of the slipway for use by these paying tenants.

Those in charge should also put up a notice calling on bathers to keep the slipway free of sunbathers.
