God of Carnage by French playwright Yasmina Reza (translated into English by Christopher Hampton), will be staged by the Gozo Creative Theatre Club at St Ursula Hall, The Citadel, Victoria, on Friday at 8.30pm and Sunday at 5.30pm.

This play explores different facets of marriage and life as well as the kind of modern parenting which refuses to see faults in its own offspring.

The story involves a playground scuffle between two 11-year-old boys who bring together two sets of parents for a meeting to resolve the matter.

Despite the best attempts at courtesy and respect, hard truths, insecurities and tensions emerge, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters resulting in an evening of total chaos.

The cast, under the direc-tion of George Mizzi, includes Darren Muscat, Marlene Saliba, Jamie Camilleri and Sharona Refalo.

Darren Muscat is responsible for the technical design and sound is by Jamie Camilleri. The lighting will be provided by Michael Bugeja.

Entrance is free and seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
