Go mobile users had problems making phone calls and sending and receiving text messages yesterday following a technical fault that disabled the network.
Customers experienced connectivity problems from the morning but by early afternoon mobile coverage was mostly restored.
“The technical fault basically involved a failure of part of Go’s mobile core set-up,” a company spokesman said, adding that the fault was not connected to Monday’s storm.
The issue did not impact all customers but a majority of Go mobile customers across Malta and Gozo were affected at different times during the morning and early afternoon, she said.
Go thanked its mobile customers for their patience and full support “during this unfor-tunate incident”.
