Keith Galea, the newly-crowned European champion in the 20-25 years age-group, will compete in two races this month.

His first international commitment will be on Sunday where he will be on the start line for the San Vito Lo Capo triathlon in Sicily.

This event is organised by the Triathlon Team Trapani and forms part of the Sicily Ranking Series.

Galea will then fly to Cyprus for the Volkswagen International Triathlon in Limassol. This race, on May 20, will be hosted by the Cyprus Triathlon Federation.

Galea said he was looking to turn in two good performances and also aiming to finish on the podium in both races.

Coached by former Malta cham-pion Dermot Galea, Keith Galea is currently going through an in-tensive training regime ahead of the Triathlon Championships for the Small States of Europe, to be held in Luxembourg in July.
