Prolific record-breaker, Neil Muscat, started the new swimming season the way he ended the last, when he set a new record on Saturday.

Competing in the season’s first ASA Time Trials at the National Pool, the 15-year-old Neptunes swimmer improved his own 50-metre butterfly Group C mark set last May in Berlin by 0.55 seconds when clocking 26.78.

This time augurs well for Muscat’s prospects of setting new limits most of which he holds in various strokes.
