A 33-year-old Romanian man was yesterday charged with damaging ATMs and committing fraud.

Marian Barbut was arraigned under arrest and accused of forming part of a criminal organisation that targeted ATMs. He was charged with stealing €2,329 from the machines and causing damage of more than €1,164 to the detriment of two banks.

The accused pleaded not guilty. He was remanded in custody and escorted to Corradino Correctional Facility.
