Fimbank plc, the Malta-based trade finance bank, is sponsoring an art exhibition by ceramist George Muscat entitled Forces at Valletta’s St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity.

This is the artist’s seventh solo event and features 48 ceramic works. Inaugurated by artist Vince Briffa, who is also the head of the University’s Department of Digital Arts, it runs until April 7.

With the infusion of colours and complex designs, Qormi-born Muscat aims to “create a world that recalls the mysteries of the environment around us”. He has exhibited in solo and collective exhibitions since 1997, locally and abroad. He is a part-time lecturer at Mcast, where he works with young artists and leads evening courses to mature students both in ceramics and raku techniques.

“Art critics have lauded George Muscat as one of the most talented ceramic sculptors in Malta, and we are happy to contribute towards the setting up of an exhibition which showcases his latest works to an increasingly appreciative public,” Fimbank president Margrith Lütschg-Emmenegger said.
