All auxiliary lights across Banif Bank’s network of branches will be switched off to celebrate Earth Hour on Saturday between 8.30pm and 9.30pm. As it has done in previous years, the Banif Financial Group will join hundreds of thousands of companies and organisations around the world to do its bit for the environment.

“We aim to lead by example and motivate others to take up similar initiatives that are kind to the environment we all live in,” Banif Bank chief officer corporate services Adrian Coppini said. “Banif follows up this yearly gesture with commitments that lie at the heart of the bank’s business. These ensure we minimise the impact of our operations on the environment we share, in line with our corporate social responsibility strategy, our sustainability targets and the expectations of our customers.”

Earth Hour is the largest symbolic action in favour of climate change, involving mass participation around the world. Millions of people in cities and towns across 152 countries and territories switch lights off for an hour, as a collective show of concern for the environment.
