The wreckage of a bus at the site of an accident after the vehicle collided with a truck and plunged into a gorge in Malshej Ghat, a hilly tourist spot 160 kilometres northeast of Mumbai, India, yesterday. The bus fell into a 120-metre deep gorge, splitting open on the rocky ground below, killing at least 27 people. India has the world’s deadliest roads, with more than 110,000 people killed annually.
