The tranquil setting of Msida Bastion Historic Garden in Floriana, which offers a commanding view of Msida Creek and Fort Manoel, has again been the venue selected by Inizjamed for their annual Mediterranean Literature Festival.

This year’s event was aptly themed ‘Crisis Fare’; however, among the participants a Palestinian writer gave a humorous account of her occupied residence – by her mother-in-law – as a symbol of occupied Palestine. A symbolic contribution was also made by a Syrian writer.

Well done to the organisers and all those concerned who ensured that the feast of literature was a success.
