A man apprehended by police in Paceville on Saturday night and found to be in possession of 200 ecstasy pills was yesterday jailed for six years and fined €1,000 after he admitted to drug trafficking.

Glenn Bezzina, 30, of Valletta, admitted to being in possession of the pills that were not for his personal use, relapsing and committing the crime within 100 metres of a place frequented by minors. He also admitted to trafficking cocaine in May.

Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna, lawyer Mariella Tonna and Police Inspector Pierre Grech discussed the case at the Bench before the jail term was handed down.
