Either I am stupid or the ETC website does not work.
I have been registering for work for two months and the ETC provided me with a password. It did not work so I applied for a new one which works. Each day I receive an e-mail letting me know what jobs are available. However, when I enter the reference number I get a reply saying the number does not exist.
I have stopped seeking work on the website and from the offices as what I am told there is not what the job is about. I applied for two jobs in the space of two weeks. For the first job they asked if I could speak Russian. In the second case I was asked whether I could read and write in Japanese!
The ETC should update its website and make it more user friendly.
I am now hunting jobs through private websites, which offer better access and customer care.
Just for the record, during my last visit to the government website, my computer displayed a message telling me to refrain from using the site as it was corrupt and could damage my computer.
