The name Kizum Klof is a new one on the scene and a curious one at that. Essentially a duo featuring guitarists Glenn Paul Pace and Kevin Borg, Kizum Klof got their name by spelling ‘folk music’ backwards (slipping in a capital K for extra weight), but their musical inspiration draws from much wider and more eclectic sources.

The duo originally got together for the occasional jamming session, but Pace and Borg soon realised that the music they were creating possessed something special, which led them to form Kizum Klof.

Both Pace and Borg are candid about their music’s obvious folk roots, but are equally quick to add that “it is folk music with a twist”.

They are also keen to highlight that each brings something diverse to the table; individual influences that collectively range from Pink Floyd to Joe Pass, Pat Metheny to Django Reinhardt and Jeff Beck to Astor Piazzolla.

The result, along with their own creative streak of course, is a gem of a debut single by the name of Nutjez (yes, Zejtun spelt backwards) that captures the two musicians’ exquisite guitar interplay beautifully. For more information or to order the single, visit www.facebook.com/kizumklof.
