Very recently we have witnessed much road works in Locker and St Anthony streets in Tignè. Most of this was done meticulously but one just wonders how the work in a specific area of the lower section of St Anthony Street (between Triq Il-Markiż Zimmermann Barbaro and Tignè Seafront) was not considered as being somewhat dangerous, to say the least that is!

The road, by the new stairs installed on the sidewalk, opposite a private garage, appears to be what can only be described as subsiding. A heavy loaded truck or bus using this road could very easily lose control because of this “black spot” and end up causing damage, most probably serious damage not only to property but also to pedestrians.

The authority that was responsible for these works is strongly advised to look into this “black spot” immediately before a serious accident occurs. It is a very dangerous spot. Immediate action is recommended please.
