A co-production fund will finance new projects coordinated between public cultural entities and the V-18 foundation.

The government has also allocated some €200,000 to help export cultural productions. A new artistic fund will also help emerging artists. The cultural sector will see several new infrastructural projects, among them creative clusters, the first of which will be related to design.

Carnival aficionados will finally get a hub of their own, with a new carnival village. No location has been chosen yet and the government has allocated €80,000, which will finance the project’s initial stages.

Other infrastructural projects include a national costume museum, which will serve as an exhibition space for local and international fashion designers and tell evolution of traditional Maltese costumes.

The indoor market in Valletta will also get a facelift. The Victorian-era building will see 74 new stalls, half of which should be finalised by the end of next month.
