The National Centre for Family Research will be carrying out a survey about couple relationships over the coming months.

The centre forms part of the President’s Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society and will be using the study to improve its understanding of today’s relationship strengths and challenges.

The centre hopes to help increase knowledge about the realities of different types of relationships as well as those who are single, and to contribute to the formation of couple therapists and other professionals.

The study will be conducted by the National Statistics Office through a confidential telephone interview with people aged 18 and over.

Only a random sample of the population will be contacted, and the survey will take around 10 minutes.

Respondents will be interviewed about their opinions and experience.
