In yesterday’s article ‘Europe: battle begins’ it was reported that Prime Minister Joseph Muscat “called his party the underdog in these elections but held out the prospect of a historic victory: if Labour elects four MEPs again, to the PN’s two, it would be the first time a party in government managed that feat”.

The second sentence, referring to the number of MEPs, was wrongly attributed to the Prime Minister. Dr Muscat referred to a majority of votes, not to the number of seats. The error is regretted.
