Dream a Little Dream is the name of this year’s Voices concert, fittingly for an event aimed at raising money to make the lives of vulnerable people more fulfilling.

“We hope the dreams of many people will become reality with the financial aid we give to organisations involved in worthy community projects,” chairman Antonello Gauci said at the launch yesterday.

The 200-strong choir and live band, which perform every two years, will belt out an assortment of pop and rock classics spanning decades between October 3 and 7 and October 10 and 14 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

The songs will include hits by the Beatles, Adele, Sting, Katy Perry, Zucchero, Queen, Abba, Alicia Keyes, Pink Floyd and tributes to Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson.

Voices is made up of volunteers who dedicate their summer every couple of years to raising funds for various charities. Over the years they have raised €1.5 million. Tickets will go on sale on September 14 from the MCC and Manoel Theatre, and will be sold at €15 for balcony places, €22 for stalls, and €28 for dress circle seats.

The booking office opens from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., and 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., while on Saturdays it opens between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tickets can also be bought from www.voices.org.mt.
