A bridal wear company using Maltese designers is expanding overseas, just a few months after it was set up.

Cross My Heart is working with retailers in the UK and Europe and is targeting a minimum of 24 stockists by September 2014.

The label was officially released at the British Bridal Exhibition in Harrogate, the UK, in September, where agreements were signed with two international retailers that agreed to stock the label in Lithuania and northern England.

Since then, two more stockists have taken on the label in Australia and locally in Malta (Camilleri Paris Mode). Agents based in Northern Ireland will distribute in Ireland while another agent in England will cover Scotland and Ireland.

“Last but not least, another agent in New York will market to North America and Canada. So it is only a matter of time before the range is widely distributed,” owner Steven Jones said.

“The 2014 collection was inspired by the Mediterranean culture and the spirit of island living. The range is extravagant yet simple, ornate and decorative while still being classically stylish.

“The price range is between €800 and €1,800 retail, with French chiffon and the highest quality laces used, and a manufacturing quality to match high-end gowns currently in the market place.”
