Commercial attachés will be deployed in key Malta embassies and high commissions around the world in line with a memorandum of understanding signed by Malta Enterprise and the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
The memorandum followed closely on the review of the promotion strategy and recruitment and intensive training of a team of trade and investment regional leaders who would focus on presenting Malta’s unique selling proposition to foreign investors and businesses, Malta Enterprise said.
“This is the first time Malta Enterprise will establish its official presence in the key markets of China, Russia, Australia and the US, apart from other countries such as Germany, France, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates,” Malta Enterprise chairman Alan Camilleri said.
By mobilising its networks and establishing key focal points in such markets, Malta Enterprise hoped to have a more direct approach towards foreign investment targeting and promoting business collaboration and joint partnerships, he added.
