Zany Maltese comedian Steve Hili, now based in the UK, is bringing his five-star rated fringe show to Malta this week.

Burning Love. To the Ground has been dubbed “an interactive show with lasagne” and was called “perfect”, “hilarious and eye-opening” by review website Arts Awards Voice.

Hili takes on the notion of love in his unique high-energy style with a frantic mix of real-life experience, naughty observations, dodgy science and his favourite food.

Described by VICE magazine as having “the energy of a dog who needs to be taken out”, Hili felt it was time to answer the perennial question – what is love? Lasagne plays a big role in the show, with audience members offered some at the end… but that is not all.

■ Produced by TAC Theatre of Rock of Ages fame, Burning Love. To the Ground is being staged at Palazzo Pereira in Valletta from Thursday to Sunday at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available from www.ticketline.com.mt or from the Embassy Cinema Box Office in Valletta. The show is suitable for those aged 18 and over.
