Malta-based innovative recruitment system Careerpassport was showcased at the second Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development HR Software event at London’s Olympia Exhibition Centre a few days ago.

Recruiters and agency representatives explored the latest industry trends, while members of the Careerpassport team were able to network with other HR software providers, and handle client requests and queries.

Prospective clients in various business sectors were identified and potential clients introduced to the product.

Careerpassport’s team added a touch of creativity to their booth and invited a caricature artist to sketch visitors to their stand. The artist drew the desired attention and sketched more than 200 portraits in two days.

Before the London event, the careerpassport team attended the Monsters of Rock event, the brainchild of Peter Cook, a former manager who published the book Punk Rock People Management, a guide to hiring, inspiring and firing staff.

The team met Mr Cook, an MBA graduate who lectures on the parallel lessons between business and music, and gave them some insight and new perspectives.

“Monsters of Rock inspired us to look at the business world from different angles,” Careerpassport’s head of international business development Christina Medici said. “Peter Cook combines management techniques with the principles of rock music to create a synchronised balance between structure and creativity.”
