Car-free day activities wereheld in Victoria and Nadur last Sunday.

In Victoria, activities were organised by the Don Bosco Oratory Youth section. They included street football at St Augustine Square, traditional games in School Street, while a photo and painting exhibition, depictingVictoria and Gozo without cars, was set up in Palm Street.

A photo treasure hunt by bicycles was also held in the morning.

Water games in Republic Street were held in the afternoon, while a grand variety street show, also in Republic Street, was held in the evening.

Activities in Nadur were organised by Nadur council. Events included face painting, a bouncing castle, traditional games, a water balloon fight, treasure hunt, a bicycle ride for all the family, bingo in aid of the Community Chest Fund and an elephant sale in aid of Puttinu Cares.

Entertaining the people were Nicholas and Matthew and Saving Alexis. Other participating guests were Mr Remy, Rita Knowles, Mary Portelli, Carmen Tedesco and the Police Traffic Section.
