An information leaflet by the Committee Against Bird Slaughter is riddled with inaccuracies and misinformation, according to the hunters’ federation, FKNK.

In a statement yesterday FKNK accused the committee of using provocative tactics which had “exceeded the federation’s tolerance”.

Among the inaccuracies were statements indicating it was illegal to hunt along the coastline or within 50 metres of a protected area, both of which were false, the federation said.

It appealed to the police to investigate.
