American wine icon Robert Mondavi has joined forces with Woodzee, a California-based sunglasses maker to produce ‘shades’ from the company’s old wine barrels.

The range of Wayfarer-shaped sunglasses is etched with a tiny barrel logo on the left arm and comes in four different coloured lenses: bronze, grey, reflective blue and reflective green, all of which offer UV protection at about €90 a pop!

The ‘wine goggles’ will not actually go on sale until next month.
