The other day, I had quite an unpleasant experience when going to Valletta by bus, an experience I would like to share with readers.

I never use my car when going to Valletta because it is easier and fine-free to commute than using my own means of transport.

I sat on one of the front seats, which was covered with tickets. Whenever the bus swerved or stopped suddenly, water would drop from the air conditioner above. This was probably an old problem that was never rectified and it could have explained why the wet seat was covered.

When disembarking, people kept staring at me when they noticed my wet trousers.

I reported this embarrassment to the driver who vouched he had reported the fault several times, only to be ignored.

And just to think this is the public service we boast of.
